The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program provides companies with the ability to select organizations to support with their tax dollars. Pennsylvania businesses are eligible to receive tax credits equal to 75% of their contribution (up to $300,000 per taxable year), or up to 90% for multi-year charitable commitments. The tax credits offered through this program may be applied against the tax liability of a business for the tax year in which the contribution was made. (Tax Credits may be claimed against the following taxes: Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax / Corporate Net Income Tax / Capital Stock Franchise Tax / Insurance Premiums Tax / Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax / Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax.)
Your EITC donations can be directed to support the Educational Improvement program of your choice.By selecting Advancing Science (listed under the name of our host facility, Gettysburg College) as the recipient of your funds you will help us continue to serve the south central Pennsylvania area schools with otherwise unavailable, yet badly needed equipment. Advancing Science, like many other non-profits, has seen a dramatic decrease in funding. We ask that you consider selecting Advancing Science so we may continue to fill the gap in many school districts by providing hands-on science to students.
Participation by businesses in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program is limited and is on a first- come-first-serve basis by date received.
