Report a concern

Gettysburg College is committed to establishing and supporting an environment where students, faculty, employees, volunteers and guests can take full advantage of the academic and social offerings in a manner that supports the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals.

If members of our community observe behaviors inconsistent with this goal, it is important to immediately report concerns to the appropriate College department or official for prompt and timely investigation. Members of the Gettysburg College community have two options for officially reporting concerns:

Bias Incidents

Bias incidents are a communication or action that is stereotypical, exclusionary, mocking, degrading, or invalidating, and usually related to actual or perceived affiliation to what are classified by law as protected classes, as well as other traits. Bias incidents may not constitute a violation of law or College policy, but may, nevertheless, have a significant negative effect on members of the campus community. The Bias Response and Education Protocol can also be used to address bias concerns arising from such traits.
