The Office of Institutional Analysis conducts systematic and thorough research to help advance the College’s goals and to support institutional planning, decision-making, assessment, and enhancement of student experience. It serves as a reliable source for comprehensive, accurate, and consistent information concerning institutional characteristics.
Major activities include:
- Collecting and analyzing data and producing research reports assessing learning environments, student engagement, satisfaction, and learning outcomes, alumni outcomes, and other aspects of educational effectiveness;
- Compiling and updating the College Fact Book, Facts & Figures, and Fact of the Week;
- Conducting retention research and providing enrollment projections (summer melt/fall enrollment projections; 5-yr projections);
- Conducting special research and data analyses for the senior leadership;
- Responding to data/analytics requests from the campus community;
- Conducting peer benchmarking and data analyses of national trends related to the higher education environment;
- Developing and updating data visualizations--interactive dashboards--to promote campus utilization of assessment/institutional data and to support student success;
- Completing or coordinating various external reporting;
- Assisting in reaccreditation activities and program reviews.
