Environmental Studies BS

I. Environmental Studies Core:

II. Mathematics and Statistics:

One of the following: Math 107, 111, 112, Bio 260, Econ 241, HS 232, Pol 215, Psych 205

III. Natural Sciences: two science sequence courses in two different natural science disciplines:

  • Bio 111 & 112
  • Bio 111 & 118
  • Bio 113 & 114
  • Chem 107 & 108
  • Phy 103 & 104
  • Phy 109 & 110
  • Phy 111 & 112

Physics double majors only. Must also take PHYS211 to complete the introductory sequence.

IV. Electives: Three elective courses at the 200 or 300 level.

  • Up to two elective courses may be taken off-campus or in other departments, subject to advisor approval.
  • Students must complete an area of concentration through their choice of electives. See the list of electives.
  • Students may petition to count an ES 100-level or ES FYS course as an elective if it is the first ES course taken. ES121 cannot count toward the ES major or minor.
