The house is also closely related to the jazz program offered at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music. The only criterion for living in the house is participation in a college musical ensemble. The Language House is a vibrant and immersive space for students passionate about learning about languages and delving deep into the cultures from which they were founded. This unique residential house attracts learners who are eager to transcend traditional classroom boundaries to actively practice and enjoy the subject they are studying. The heart of the Language House is the communal kitchen and dining area, where the aroma of international cuisine constantly fills the space. Here together the students gather to share meals while conversing exclusively in the language they are studying. One of the most cherished aspects of the Language House is the sense of community. Friendships blossom over late-night study sessions, collaborative projects, and weekend outings. The supportive environment encourages residents to step out of their comfort zones, making mistakes and learning from them, all while surrounded by peers who share their passion and commitment. The house is a microcosm of the world, a place where language and culture intertwine to create a rich tapestry of learning and living. It is a home where students don't just learn a language—they live it.
